Voted best place to live by The Sunday Times in 2021, Stroud has been labelled ‘the chichi place to be’ and ‘the new neighbourhood to know.’
In an article by Matthew Bell The Sunday Times points to an influx of household names, including Liam Gallagher, who is regularly spotted walking his dog on Selsley Common.
The article also highlights Painswick churchyard with its yew trees and annual ‘Painswick Feast’, the new restaurant Juliet in Stroud and the legendary Woolpack Inn, Slad Valley all get a mention, along with Giffords Circus.
Amy Seager, director of award-winning estate agent Whitaker Seager, told Stroud Times: “It comes as no surprise that Stroud has once again been recognised by The Sunday Times.
“Having been part of the Stroud Valleys’ property market for over 20 years, we’ve always cherished not only the unrivalled beauty of the landscape but, more importantly, the genuine sense of community.
“Stroud is real, honest, and unpretentious—qualities that resonate deeply. Combined with its stunning architecture and breathtaking views, it’s no wonder that the Stroud Valleys are such an appealing place to live.”
