Our story
Our ambition is to challenge preconceptions by offering an honest and more personable approach to selling homes, within our local communities:
Navigating your move together.
This is the mission statement of Whitaker Seager, a firm of estate agents. We operate in the Cotswolds, specialising in Stroud and Cirencester and the surrounding villages in this beautiful and sought-after part of the country.
We are Liz Whitaker-Street and Amy Seager and we have a wealth of experience in helping people to buy and sell houses. As directors, one or other of us, ably assisted by our Senior Negotiator Jason Rees will guide the client through the whole sales process. We are committed to sharing the benefit of our experience: we combine honesty, integrity and a friendly approach with sound professional advice.
During our years in the business, we have dealt with a whole range of properties, from apartments and modern developments to family homes and beyond to equestrian properties and country houses. Now, while our focus is on the middle to higher end of the market, we can help whatever your property needs may be.
Having spent a combined total of 35 years at Hamptons International, we gained a wealth of knowledge and invaluable experience of properties in this area.
One thing that really sets us apart is how well we know the area having been born and brought up here.
Our award winning team
Liz Whitaker - Street
Director
My family has farmed in the hamlet of Syde, near Birdlip since the 1930s. I attended local schools and then college before joining a firm of estate agents in Cheltenham. I now live in Perrott’s Brook, near Cirencester, with my husband Ian and daughter Amelia who currently attends Deer Park school. Bella and Bear, our two black Labradors complete the family and we all appreciate the great dog walks and many dog-friendly pubs we have on our doorstep.
Most of my friends and family still live in the area and, having lived all my life in various villages surrounding Cirencester, I love the fact that every time I pop into town I’ll bump into someone I know.
I have been an estate agent for nearly four decades, however, the thing that still gives me the most job satisfaction is nurturing my clients through the entire process, especially those, who whatever reason, need additional support. Seeing beautiful homes is the icing on the cake.

I’m from Malmesbury where I grew up and attended school. I now live in Eastcombe, near Stroud with my husband Adam and our two daughters, Edie and Nell, who go to Chalford Hill Primary School and Thomas Keble Secondary School - not forgetting Artie our beloved Sproodle!
I love the friendliness of everyone in our village community and how breathtakingly beautiful the surrounding countryside is. Although that never gets boring, it’s an added bonus that we are still just a hop, skip and a jump from city life.
When I tell people that I am an Estate Agent, everyone always responds by saying they would love my job, having the opportunity to walk into so many houses. Whilst this true, my favourite part of being an estate agent is the satisfaction I feel when I know we have gone above and beyond to make a clients move possible.
Jason Rees
Senior Negotiator
I’ve worked in estate agency in Gloucestershire for many years, and my favourite part of the job is getting to visit our clients’ stunning homes.
I was born in Gloucester but spent my early years in Hong Kong. I particularly enjoy travelling to the Far East when I get the chance to, and my other passions include classic cars and gardening.
I ran my own business in the automotive legal industry for 25 years before moving back to estate agency.
The Cotswolds has been my home for most of my life and I now live in the village of Coates near Cirencester where I help to run a wildflower planting project.

I was born in Malmesbury and spent most of my childhood and teenage years living in Tetbury. After studying and working in London for a few years, the call of the Cotswolds proved too strong and I decided city life was no longer for me!
After a brief stint in Cirencester, and having lived in several villages around the area, I moved to Stroud where I have now lived for almost 30 years. My partner Campbell and I currently live on the outskirts of the town with our rescue Greyhound Oona.
I love being able to access so many places from my doorstep including the canal, the town centre and the surrounding hills - all without having to get in a car.
Working with Whitaker Seager allows me to share my passion for the wonderful architecture, people and landscapes that combine to make the Stroud valleys such a unique place.
Lisa McKie
Sales Assistant
Born and bred in Cirencester, I moved to London in 1997 and escaped back here in 2007 with my husband Stu and two sons Xander and Louie.
My background is in Early Years Education and, now that my own family are flying the nest and my life is entering a new chapter, I welcomed the opportunity to join the Whitaker Seager family.
The Cotswolds is an amazing place to live and I’m proud to call it my home.
I am loving meeting new people and sharing my love of Gloucestershire, the fabulous connections, and places to explore while helping others to find their wonderful forever homes.
Eric Bullion
Sales Assistant
After a 45-year career as an art teacher, I decided I was ready to take on a new challenge, and when an opportunity came up to work with Whitaker Seager, I happily made the move to estate agency. I’m thoroughly enjoying being part of the team and working in this stunning area. The best part of my job is undoubtedly the people I get to meet.
I’ve lived in Malmesbury for over 60 years and enjoy spending time with my two daughters and four granddaughters, not to mention our two border terriers, Stella and Coco.
I pursue my passion for rugby in my spare time, refereeing for local teams and working for the RFU as a timekeeper in the Premiership.
