The Property
This outstanding brand new home, clad with timber with a living roof, was purchased ‘off plan’ during the infancy of construction in the winter of 2021. The buyers took a gentle stroll down Frome Hall Lane and were mighty impressed with the two detached properties our vendors were building; The Coach House and the newly named ‘Ithaca’. The architects design was based on an eco style of open plan living, and was tweaked to the buyers specification. As shown in the floorplan, the accommodation is found across two floors. On the ground floor the majority of the open plan living space is configured in a L shape made up of a superb kitchen with walk in pantry opening into a phenomenal living/dining space. A downstairs bedroom with an ensuite, is located away from the hustle and bustle of the living areas and working kitchen making it ideal for guests. At the other end, lies a utility and shower room. Upstairs there are three bedrooms, one benefitting from an ensuite and the other being serviced by a family bathroom. Flooded with light this residence will be a very special home
Outside
A drive offers private off road parking for a several vehicles. It enjoys an enclosed level lawn with a L shaped paved patio, perfect for al fresco entertaining.

Situation
Frome Hall Lane is steeped in local history dating back centuries. Fromehall Mill, a grade II listed mill, sits at the bottom of the valley due to the continual water supply from the River Frome. It is believed to originally date back to 1608 however it became vital to the cloth manufacturing during the industrial revolution. It produced uniform material and billiard cloth to name a few products. A clothiers mansion once stood at the end of Frome Hall Lane and the site of our new home were the coach houses and stables belonging to the grand residence. Lying in the very popular ward of Rodborough, it’s unique, almost secret setting benefits from being within walking distance of Stroud Railway Station, the award winning Farmer’s Market, the restored canals and Waitrose.
